Just outside Tavistock, Ontario
Slow down. Show up. Find your herd.
A non-profit farm just outside Tavistock where wellness, riding, camps and team days happen alongside a rescue herd.
Welcome to Transitions
Built around a working rescue herd.
We’re a non-profit farm just outside Tavistock. We run wellness sessions, riding lessons, summer camps, team days and the award-winning Cowgirl Kickback. All of it alongside our rescue herd.
Most of our horses came to us from somewhere harder. Now they help guests learn, slow down, and find their footing.

Kind words
What guests say
“Alisha’s program and events are incredibly eye opening, you really learn a lot about yourself and what you’re capable of achieving! It’s interactive, fun, exploratory and makes you feel great afterward.”
“My daughter (age 9) just completed the Youth Leadership Workshop and each day on the ride home she was beaming about the life lessons she learned. Communication, patience, teamwork, all while having fun. Who could ask for more?”
“What a fantastic experience! Alisha and Holly Jo were extremely welcoming and created a supportive environment for someone with little experience with horses or pottery. I can’t wait to come back!”
The heart behind the herd
Meet Alisha
In 2020, after years in corporate leadership, founder Alisha Wilson pivoted from the boardroom to the barn. A Registered Riding Coach and Reiki Master Teacher, she built Transitions as a non-profit so the healing power of horses could be accessible to everyone.
