Riding & Horsemanship

Lessons built on safety, horse welfare, mindfulness and relationship-based learning, with horses, many from rescue backgrounds, who teach as much as they carry.

Ages 5 and up. Available May–October. Lessons are weather permitting; inclement weather is rescheduled to a suitable date.

Introductory Riding Lesson

$50 +HST · 1 hour, one-on-one

A gentle, welcoming first step into riding for beginners and those returning to the saddle. Focused on safety, confidence and connection, thoughtfully matched with one of our calm horses and guided through grooming, groundwork and riding. Also serves as an assessment for ongoing lessons.

New Rider Starter Package

$100 +HST · 2 lessons

Two introductory lessons that ensure a comfortable fit between rider, instructor and horse while building confidence. Required before enrolling in monthly riding lessons.

Monthly Lesson Enrollment

$200 +HST · 4 private lessons / month

For riders ready to continue their journey. Lessons are tailored to experience, comfort and goals; monthly enrollment secures your weekly time for consistency and progress.

Apprenticeship

Saddle Club: The Little Horseman’s Apprenticeship

$480 +HST · Ages 7+ · 4 Saturdays, 9am–12pm

Go beyond the basics into equine psychology, health and partnership over four weeks, from “horse speak” and groundwork to tacking, transitions and a final skill challenge, finishing with a Junior Horseman certificate. Four spots only. Each student keeps a monthly portfolio tracking their horse’s stats, daily reflections and a weekly service task.
