Almost all of our herd are rescues who have found a loving home with us, and they work hard, giving back in meaningful ways every day.

Teen equestrian with a passion for horses and helping youth; helped create our teen-based groups and keeps us up to date with today’s slang.

The herd

Willow
Our herd boss, small in stature, big in authority. The lead mare who shows new horses the ropes. With us since 2019, she chose Lindsey as her person.
Elliott Moose
Troublemaker extraordinaire, sneaking through fences, pestering herd mates and stealing hats and tools. Big personality in a small package; with us since 2019.
Thunder
The face behind our logo. Big personality and puppy-dog tendencies make him the perfect brand ambassador, and an amazing teacher.
Tulsa
One of the babies, already a strong player, from summer camps to long-term care visits. Calm, level-headed, and best friends with Lindsey.
Hot Rod
“Bandido’s Devil Drives a Hotrod”, a spunky, sensitive, loving five-year-old who gives kisses. A favourite of our long-term care residents.
Envy
A fancy-moving little pony trained to drive. Gentle, patient and lovable, the perfect partner for first-time, slightly-nervous participants.
Stanley
Stan the Man, our smallest member with the biggest heart. He offers his hooves for pottery impressions at our Ponies & Pottery events.
Peanut
The baby of the herd and a real character, rescued from an auction pen at a month old. Already a sweet Reiki and Qi Gong partner, still in training.
Rory
A beautiful off-the-track Thoroughbred and our tallest horse, a gentle reminder of resilience and second chances, learning to relax into her new life.
Montana
A stunning buckskin Quarter Horse mare with queen-bee energy, a valued partner in our EAL and riding programs.
Muskwa (Bear)
One of three Ojibwe Spirit Ponies. A striking black pony embodying bravery, calm and the wisdom of stories passed down by elders.
Gabi Gekgek (Hawk)
An all-bay Ojibwe Spirit Pony with a graceful, deer-like build, cautious yet steady, son of the lead Ojibwe mare at TJ Stables.
Ozaawaa Babaamose (Sky)
The youngest of our three Ojibwe Spirit Ponies, a striking buckskin, naturally curious and especially drawn to drum beats.
